Every year, the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Oxford have held their largest fundraiser of the year, Big Night Out Charity Ball. However, due to the pandemic, the organization has cleverly rebranded the event as, Big Night In – Oxford’s Got Talent. A live streamed event, showcasing amazing local talent, hosted by comedian Greg Morton, semi-finalist of America’s Got Talent.
Although we’re all disappointed we can’t celebrate together, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Oxford are excited to present a virtual night of entertainment we can all watch in our homes. Dancers, singers, karate experts, trick shooters, musicians, and bands will all compete for the title of Oxford’s Most Talented, judged by 3 local celebrity judges, Laurie Schultz, Mike Crabbe and Dan Henry of Heart FM. A People’s Choice award will also be presented.
Big Brothers, Big Sisters have been in Oxford County for 50 years and have mentored thousands of young people. Many of those matches still exist to this day, including one of their original matches, who will be celebrating 50 years of friendship in 2021.
100% of the funds raised stay in Oxford County, supporting young people of Oxford. Last year, Big Night Out Charity Ball raised $106,000. In this time of uncertainty, the soundest investment you can make is in our children and our youth. They represent our future!
