BIO
At age 16, Greg Morton got first job at a local department store, as a P.A. announcer. That same voice that grabbed the attention of shoppers, recently wowed judges, on the season 14 premier of America’s Got Talent. Howie Mandel said, “I can’t believe there isn’t a banner with your name on it in Vegas!” After 35 years of entertaining audiences worldwide, opening for Celine Dion, Harry Connick Jr. and Luther Vandross at Radio City Music Hall – appearing on Just for Laughs, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, Comic’s Unleashed, and his own Dry Bar Comedy Special, entitled, ‘I Started Out as a Baby’ – he received a standing ovation, and four yeses for his 2 min. Star Wars routine. The force is definitely with him.

After recently auditioning for America’s Got Talent and receiving a standing ovation, and four yeses, Greg Morton brings his unique, one man show to Visani in Port Charlotte, FL

The whole week I’ll be appearing with Brad Garrett at his club located in the MGM. Watch for my appearance on America’s Got Talent, #judgecuts #NBC #agt Tuesday, 8/7c

For those who missed it, AGT showed the best of the best! Tuesday night, 8/7c was an encore performance of the best auditions to appear on season 14 of America’s Got Talent. Woodstock’s own, Greg Morton was part of that lineup, and he received a standing ovation and four yeses from the AGT judges.
I’ve always been a huge fan of variety shows. Shows like Ed Sullivan, The Smothers Brothers, Flip Wilson, and The Carol Burnett Show, have had a huge influence on me. When that format died in the early 80’s, there was no outlet for an act like mine until AGT came along. When America’s Got Talent first aired, my wife said to me, “Greg, that’s the perfect show for you!” AGT has a strong history of creating stars and jumpstarting careers. Look at magician Shin Lim, winner of season 13, or ventriloquist Darci Lynn Farmer, winner of season 11. They both have shows in Vegas, and that’s always been a lifelong dream.
2. What was the process like? Is there anything that surprised you about the audition process?
I was impressed by the sheer number of uniquely talented acts on the show. Sitting backstage, I felt like the folks watching at home. One moment, I’d be shocked and awed, the next moment I’d be laughing or moved to tears. Everyone was so nice, and respectful of each other’s talent, at times it didn’t feel like a competition. We were all genuinely interested in each other’s story. What really impressed me was the huge production staff! I could see why AGT has remained the number one show of the summer for the past 13 seasons, and from what I’ve seen thus far, season 14 could be their best season yet!
3. How do you feel about your performance? What is some feedback you’ve received?
I was very pleased with my performance. When I finished my Star Wars routine with a bow and flying dismount, I felt like a figure skater who had just nailed triple axel at the Olympics. The standing ovation I received from all four judges and the audience was completely overwhelming. I started to tear up. It felt like all those many years of work had led to this perfect moment.
I was recently performing on a cruise ship in Alaska, and when I walked off the ship in Victoria, BC, three people shouted at me, “Hey, didn’t I see you on America’s Got Talent?”
4. What do you have planned for your next performance?
I can’t say. You’ll just have to tune in!
Greg is currently on tour with Holland America Cruise Lines.

After a recent appearance on America’s Got Talent, Greg Morton returns to Myrtle Beach.
